Co-Founders - Cable & Blake are a British textile and upholstery studio rooted in the Lake District, designing and producing distinctive wool fabrics that celebrate place, provenance, and craft. Working closely with UK mills and farmers, we specialise in Herdwick wool, transforming them into characterful tweeds and cloths for interiors, upholstery, and design-led projects. Every fabric is thoughtfully developed with longevity in mind, combining traditional weaving knowledge with a contemporary design sensibility, and underpinned by our commitment to British manufacturing. At its heart, Cable & Blake exists to tell meaningful stories through cloth, connecting landscape, material, and maker in textiles made to be lived with.

A graduate of the School of Master Craftsmen in Wood at Parnham, Daniel established his studio in rural Dumfriesshire in 2010, where he creates bespoke furniture rooted in excellence, sustainability, and a deep respect for nature. Working primarily with self-harvested local windblown timber and without computer-aided technology, his award-winning practice has earned six prestigious Bespoke Guild Marks from The Furniture Makers’ Company, reflecting his commitment to crafting functional works of art in close collaboration with his clients.
